On this World AIDS Day, I’d like to point out a few myths that people believe in regarding HIV. It’s time people educate themselves well on this rather than just believing in something that isn’t true.

The biggest news of the hour is the power tussle between CBI officials. But the bigger buzz is how Modi’s alleged involvement in the case has given the Congress just another spade to ruin the ruling party’s grounds.

It all began when suddenly on October 24, 2018, the Centre via the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) ruled out expel orders for CBI Director Alok Verma. Along with him, Special Director Rakesh Asthana was sent on temporary leave, who is a Gujarat-cadre IPS officer, close to both PM Modi and BJP President Amit Shah. 

Over the forced leave of Alok Verma, Rahul Gandhi along with thousand others protested at CBI headquarters, leading to the latter’s arrest. 

One of the largest gatherings of farmers was seen at the two-day protest in Delhi on November 30. Farmers from across the country, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, and Uttar Pradesh reached the national capital, among which at least 3,000 farmers were from Maharashtra. 

Some of these farmers were seen carrying skulls of fellow farmers who committed suicide, photos of which can freak you out. 

This 2-day march is the largest display of frustration against the Modi government and will surely show its effects in the 2019 elections. The protesting farmers were backed by opposition leaders like Rahul Gandhi, Arvind Kejriwal, Sitaram Yechury and many more who took total advantage of the situation to derail BJP government.
